Marya Krogstad (b. 1958, S. Korea) is a Korean-American transnational artist. Krogstad’s art practice is based in San Francisco and encompasses sculpture, installation, film, video/audio, and performance—the primary concentration being sculpture/installation. Krogstad received her MFA in 2009 from San Francisco Art Institute, and a B.A., M.A. in Art from CSU, Sacramento. She has enjoyed the privilege of participating as an Affiliate Artist at the Headlands Center for the Arts, as well as in artist residencies at the Lucid Art Foundation and the Kala Art Institute. Krogstad has exhibited her works nationally and internationally.
